Amendment of the Excise Notice 2002

As of the 19^th March 2019, HM Revenue and Customs have adjusted the legal frame-work surrounding Excise Notice 2002: Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme.

The amendment of the Excise Notice 2002: Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme, will have a significant effect on the level of attraction on Companies being sold as Companies are now legally permitted to be sold with the AWRS registration in place.

All new key individuals behind the Company will have 14 days to notify HMRC of the changes of ownership and will still be required to pass and satisfy all elements of the ‘fit & proper’ test in order to be able to retain this registration.
